Museum Aircraft

The Aerospace Museum of California has on display a wide range of aircraft types, both military and civilian. These include fighters, trainers, transport and specialized types flown by the USAF and Navy during the 60 year period from 1940 to 2000. Many of these aircraft are on loan from the National Museum of the United States Air Force and National Museum of Naval Aviation. This collection highlights the incredible diversity of technological innovation that characterized this period of aerospace development. From low sub-sonic, propellor driven bi-planes made of cloth-covered wooden structures to triple-sonic, jet powered aerospace vehicles made from advanced metals and composite materials, the rapid advance in aircraft design during that era is visible here at the museum. As we continue to expand our collection more civilian types, space vehicles, and more recent military aircraft are being added. We hope this limited preview of our display will tempt you to visit us soon.
